You may have seen some peeks this week on social media of new designs that I’ve been whipping up on my sewing machine and I am SUPER excited that some of these pieces launching are limited edition designs.
A huge goal for Lazy Girl is to improve my environmental footprint as a brand, and work with materials that contribute a more sustainable fashion future. With the excess of waste prevalent in society and the fashion industry in particular, using vintage fabrics is a great way to make use of materials that may have otherwise ended up in landfill. Plus, who doesn’t love the idea of wearing something that will only ever be made for a handful of people in the world?
The limited edition pieces in the collection are crafted from soft, cotton drill fabric that I have personally hand-sourced, and instantly fell in love with and thought you might too. Look out for a 70’s inspired floral fabric from Japan (printed on the selvage edge of the fabric), and of course the muted teal tones of this floral cotton... Oh so dreamy for vintage vixens who love to live in natural, breathable fibres. I only have about 2 metres of each fabric as well so there is only enough to make a few sets.
What do you think of these new limited edition styles? Is it something you would like to see more of? Do you prefer to shop garments made from sustainable materials? Let me know in the comments, or shoot me a message! I would love to hear some feedback on this new idea!
Lots of love,
