If you're anything like me, self help books are a bit of an addiction. Who doesn't want to learn about ways to better themselves and their lives? Yes please! I am always on the hunt for a new book or podcast to sink my teeth into and I was recently recommended "Life in Half a Second" by Matthew Michalewicz.

I had no idea what to expect from this book, I had just heard that it was super inspiring. And boy is that right!
Life in Half a Second is a book that explores the concept that in the grand scheme of things, our full lives (70-80 years if we are lucky) equate to half a second in comparison to the universe. That concept alone blew my mind, I had never thought of my life in that way. It gives a science based approach to achiveing all those things in life you dream of making happen. This book gave me goosebumps because it just really honed in on how blessed we are to be alive, and how we can waste our most precious resource – time!
It asks the question "What would you do if you only had one year to live?" This question bought tears to my eyes and was very sobering. It is so easy to get caught up in the daily hustle and grind and forget to truly LIVE.
If you check out this book, let me know what you think! I hope it inspires you as much as it inspired me. I really feel like it has changed my life.
