STYLE GUIDE

Winter used to send me into a panic - I mean, what is a summery gal meant to wear when the temperature starts to drop? Never fear, I've got you covered for the ultimate outfit inspo for this weekend.

fashion style guide for winter

You just can't go past strappy black heels! Get yourself a block heel that is easy to walk in and they will take you from cute lunch dates to dancing the night away.

My next essential is a killer pair of black jeans. I used to HATE jeans - I could never find any that fit over my booty and thick thighs. Trying to squeeze into them made me feel sooo bad about myself and I was sworn off them for so long. Luckily a little thing called stretch denim has been introduced into the fashion world and changed things so much. I look for a 'medium rise' cut, a bootleg or skinny leg and I do love ripped denim - it adds a nice edge if your style is really feminine (guilty!!). Finally, I've teamed this look with the Isla Bodysuit. It's one of my best sellers, and I put that down to it's oh so flattering off the shoulder cut - anything that highlights the décolletage has me swooning! It is also lined at the bust so no need for a bra, and the lace up back is super cute and allows for very flexible sizing.

This season (okay, every season) I'm all about a cute cardigan in a classic tone that will pair with all your outfits. Easy to pop on and off going inside and outside venues, keeps you cozy and looks pretty elegant if you ask me! I love this caramel one as it has such an effortless feel to it. I absolutely love natural fibers and investing in a wool piece is so worth the extra cost - spend a little bit more for something that will last you years and not just one season. You won't regret it!

winter style colour palette

Winter has me lusting over deep tones - think red wine. Have a colour palette in mind when you style your outfit - sometimes one bold colour is all you need and then complementary tones to style with it.

Sip on your latte in style, girl!
